As part of School Board Member Appreciation Month in Arkansas. the Magnolia School District would like recognize and show it's gratitude to the Magnolia School Board members for the service they provide to the District. Today's spotlight member is Board Member, Jason Ray.
Jason is a long-time resident of Magnolia and a 1997 graduate of Magnolia High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Communication/Public Relations from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2003. Jason is a Vice- President and Commercial Loan Officer at Farmers Bank and Trust. Jason is actively involved in the Magnolia community, as he serves as a board member for the Boys and Girls Club, Columbia County Independent Living Center, and Delta Waterfowl. He is also an active member of Central Baptist Church. Jason is married to his wife, Mercedes. The Rays have two sons, Isaac and Judah, who are both active students at Magnolia High School. When asked why he enjoys serving on the Magnolia School Board, he responds, “I enjoy working alongside the other board members and Mr. Ward to ensure that the students here have every opportunity through education and extra-curricular activities.”
