Jenny Venable Hired as Instructional Literacy Facilitator

East Side welcome Mrs. Venable BACK home but this time as an Instructional Literacy Facilitator. Her experience as a preschool, kindergarten, first grade, and 3rd grade teacher in Searcy, Little Rock, and Magnolia will serve her well in this new position.

Why education? "I was raised in a family of educators. My grandmother taught school in Waldo, my aunts/uncle taught and coached, and my dad was a teacher, coach, principal, and a superintendent. I loved listening to stories of their students' accomplishments and successes through their careers. At a young age, I started assisting Bible class teachers at church and then worked at daycares throughout college. It has always been my dream job and I am blessed to get to do what I love everyday!"

Why East Side? "East Side is full of people with a passion for helping students learn. They create a fun, loving environment where every child can become successful in school. Not only is this environment created for students but for the faculty, staff, and parents as well. It is one of the many things that I love about this campus!!"

What are you looking forward to the most this year? "I'm looking forward to collaborating with teachers in order to improve literacy instruction. I know I will be surrounded by talented educators who are determined to increase literacy scores in order to create lifelong learners! I know we will continue to make Panther Nation an amazing place for our community!"
