The Work-Based Learning students of Magnolia High School have spent all year working with a community partner learning what it is like to have a job. These students receive high school credit for working part of their school day. They have learned soft skills, money management skills, as well as time management skills. During their year they completed a career research project. The career research project requires students to take self-assessments, pick a career of interest to research, and then present their research to a panel of community members.
The Work-Based Learning Program is in need of community members to serve on our community panel to listen to students present their projects. The dates for these presentations are April 17th – April 21st. The plan is to have the schedule finalized after we collect responses. If you are not available, is there someone in your organization that could volunteer?
