🗣️October is Principal Appreciation Month! 🗣️
Shoutout to our Eastside Elementary School Principal, Jill Rader! Jill graduated from Southern Arkansas University (SAU) in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, with a math minor in grades 1-8 and again in 2006 with a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Jill said that she chose education to follow in the footsteps of her grandmother whose dream it was for one of her grandchildren to go into education. She has been in education a total of 24 years, with 19 of those years being in administration. When asked why she chose Magnolia School District (MSD) she said, “MSD chose me.” She had finished her student teaching at MSD and it felt like home.
Magnolia School District enjoys having Jill on staff as she is completely committed to her building and making a difference in the lives of those she comes in contact with. Happy Principals Month!

🥫🐾🥰Now that we’ve gotten started with the can food drive at East Side, we want to extend the kindness challenge to the community too! If you are a former East Side parent/family member, Panther Partner, or local business and would like to participate by dropping off can foods or give a monetary donation to buy cans, you may do so at either office-ES or MKC! We’d be honored for you sponsor a student, teacher, or grade level! Our community is the best, and we want to thank you for helping our children in so many ways, and especially for helping us keep this tradition alive to benefit our local Stewpot at FUMC! 🥫🐾🥰

ATTENTION PARENTS & STUDENTS
A new district-wide cell phone policy takes effect THIS school year. No student shall possess on his/her person any cell phone, smartwatch, or similar electronic communication device, camera, MP3 player, iPod, or other portable music device during school hours. A telephone/electronic communication device found in the possession of a student during the school day will be seized by school personnel and returned only to the parent/guardian according to campus policy. Repeated offenses could result in disciplinary actions or confiscation of the device for the remainder of the school year.
** Students who have an electronic device may choose to leave it in their cars or have it in their backpack. If the device is left in the student's backpack it must be on silent or turned off during school hours.**

Our End of Year celebration was absolutely beautiful thanks to the vision and hard work of Mrs. Franks, her decorating crew, and Interior Story! Thank you to Walmart and the Franks family for providing our meal and Craytons for preparing the meat! The yummy desserts were provided by Mrs. Rader and Nurse Alesha! We hope these ladies leaving us for retirement felt the love!
