National School Counselor Week in Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson has proclaimed the week of February 1-5, 2021 as National School Counselor Week in Arkansas to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within the U.S. school system and how students are different because of what they do. National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students meet their college and career aspirations. The Magnolia School District recognizes the contributions of nine school counselors employed by the District. Each day these counselors make significant contributions to lives of our children. The District greatly appreciates the remarkable work these counselors do to provide a positive influence on the future of all students. Our school teachers and staff are continuously working on opportunities to improve their skills in education. Marissa Aranda Youngblood and Norma Aranda Smith were accepted as participants in the ABICE Training Course. ABICE – Arkansas Bilingual Interpreter Credential in Education is a credential for bilingual professionals who provide interpretation services in educational settings that serve children from birth through 12th grade. It is recognized as a professional credential by both the Arkansas Department of Education and Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Education.   ABICE is administered by Partners for Inclusive Communities – University of Arkansas Fayetteville.

The Customer Service and Sales curriculum is designed to help entry-level sales and service associates learn skills related to frontline work in retail (or any industry that values customer service and sales skills).
