"My name is Katherine Phillips and I am the mom of 2nd grader, Bowen Phillips. I graduated from Magnolia High School in 2005. After college, I met and married my husband Ryan. I am the Family and Youth minister at First Presbyterian Church and also PIE treasurer. I love being a PIE mom because I believe giving a child love and support betters our community as a whole. The smiles on their faces always makes my day!"

"Hello, I’m Samya Williams and I am a senior at Magnolia High School and I am a student intern here at the East Side Elementary. I work in the office alongside Mrs. Fields. I absolutely love what I do, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this journey."

Meet Katherine "Kay Kay" Pesses! She is no stranger to our campus or community and serves as the first grade PIE Coordinator!
"Hey y’all!! I’m married to Joey Pesses and we have 5 fabulous kiddos; Tori (26) and her husband Austin, Brock(22)and his fiancé Abby, JB (6) who is in first grade at East Side, and the newest addition, our precious grandson Rhett (4 mos.).
I love being a part of PIE and being able to give back to the teachers, faculty, & staff that pour so much into our kids, along with being able to help out the kids in our district in so many ways! Having my little one share in so many of these opportunities is an added bonus.
We live in such an amazing community with so many people that love to give back and step in to help when needed! I am always amazed at how many families and community members are always willing to lend a helping hand when our teachers and kids need it. We truly have the best teachers, staff, administrators, community, and kids in Magnolia! Go Panthers!!!" I
