We have been learning grocery sight words. We took a field trip to Piggly Wiggly in Magnolia. Mr. Martin Sanders, the manager, gave us a tour of the store. Each student received a Piggly Wiggly pencil and ruler. The students and the teachers also got a box of Tootsie Rolls, and Mr. Sanders donated fruit to the class to make fruit salad!
Students in Mrs. Coppersmith's classes practiced their communication skills by participating in a mock job interview. They have been learning how to appropriately answer common interview questions, the importance of formal language, and how to increase their confidence. They'll be ready when it's time for the real interviews!
